Domain Transfer FAQ

There is usually no downtime during a transfer but this may depend on how the domain is transferred. Some registrars enable you to manually approve and complete a transfer immediately. If your old registrar does not offer that function, please contact our support team and they’ll help you through the process.

Yes. To transfer a domain, the domain has to be unlocked, and the EPP Auth Info (also called EPP Code, Transfer password, or Auth Information) has to be obtained from your current Registrar.

Yes, you can cancel a domain transfer in progress from your Moniker account on the website. You can select the domain on the dashboard and click "Cancel Trade/Transfer". The funds will automatically be returned to your account.
